Anyone who is eligible and needs a COVID vaccine should call the office to schedule an appointment.
Those with a known severe allergy should anticipate an observation period (and should bring their injectable epinephrine to the appointment).
FORMS/PAPERWORK
Everyone receiving their first COVID vaccine at PANS must complete a COVID vaccine consent form – please download and complete the form before arrival at the office. Bring the completed form with you to the appointment.

ON-SITE TESTING
RAPID NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFICATION OR PCR TESTS: These tests detects molecular genetic material. We use anterior nasal swabs to run them. These molecular tests are very sensitive and appropriate for many patients with symptoms or known exposure to COVIDs. This test provides results within 20-40 minutes.
RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS: Antigen testing uses an anterior nasal swab and is an excellent screening test which results in 15 minutes. This is a cost-effective, time-efficient test which is appropriate for screening patients who have scheduled appointments but have a significant risk history.
DRIVE-UP TESTING
Following a telemedicine visit for assessment of an ill patient or for screening of asymptomatic individuals, we can provide drive-up testing in our staff parking lot.
TESTING PROCEDURES
Symptomatic Patients (those who are ill and have COVID-19-compatible symptoms): Please call us for an assessment and we will arrange an appointment (in-person or virtual) and COVID-19 testing when indicated.
Symptomatic patients who have had recent COVID exposure will be scheduled for telemedicine evaluation and drive-up testing will be arranged.
Asymptomatic Patients (those who do NOT have symptoms but want testing performed):
Patients with exposures can be scheduled for drive-up testing. We follow recommendations to do testing approximately 5 days after exposure.
At this time, we cannot perform testing for parents/guardians.
If you/your child tests positive for COVID-19 at another location: Please notify our practice so that we can guide your family through the course of the illness, keep other members of your family safe, and monitor for more severe illness. Athletes require post-COVID assessment before returning to their sport.

Who can be seen in the office at PANS?
All new and established patients
Well care visits (regular physicals and immunizations)
Follow-up visits: e.g. medication management, asthma management, healthy habits, etc.
Urgent visits for illness, injury, other concerns
All office visits must be scheduled – see appointment procedures below
How are you keeping us safe when we visit PANS?
The office is cleaned throughout the day; equipment and exam rooms are sanitized after every patient.
Any ill patients/families over age 2 wear face-coverings. Some staff may wear additional protective equipment.
We minimize exposures as much as possible. Please help us by not bringing siblings along who do not have their own appointment.
Is PANS caring for patients using telemedicine?
Yes – we use a HIPAA compliant platform called Epic Video Client which is integrated into our electronic medical record
Telemedicine appointments can be scheduled for select visits
Clinical screening for appropriateness will be done before scheduling these appointments
Each provider has telemedicine appointments available
Is Monday Walk-In Hour available?
TELEMEDICINE WALK-IN is on Mondays from 8:00-9:00am
Patients can self-schedule through MyChart
These visits are for established patients with acute problems only
An in-person appointment or drive-up testing may be deemed necessary and scheduling will be arranged
What should I expect once we have scheduled an appointment?
You will receive a call one business day before your scheduled appointment to ensure that the patient and accompanying adult are healthy. It is essential we have the best contact number for you and connect with you before your appointment.
To make your appointment more efficient, please use MyChart for electronic forms and for E-check-in or see our forms page for the paper versions and bring your completed age-appropriate forms with you to the appointment.
Please call the front desk from your car when you arrive to make sure your exam room is clean and ready before entering the office. Families will go directly to a room and only stop at the front desk if needing to sign consents or make a payment.
Anyone with ill symptoms (and their family members) over age 2 will wear masks. If you do not have your own, we will give you one to use in the office. Please prepare your children that many staff will wear masks and some may have additional protective equipment.
